Okay so for those of you that read this title and said, "un-granify, what does that mean?" Please keep moving, no I am joking you're right where you belong. So many people associate floral with being an old lady trend or something their moms would wear. So your mom might wear floral print items, but there are so many great ways to make floral look awesome and rock that mother...
I was inspired last night by all the flowers and trees blooming and decided to plan my outfit around that. I ended up searching high and low for this skirt, I call it my oldie but goodie and am so glad I was able to find it in all the packed boxes.
Here is my spring inspired look--sorry about the shades it was super sunny!
I wanted to play up the pink in the skirt so I did so by adding a pink ruffled shirt. I chose the ruffle top to carry the dimension from the skirt throughout the outfit. My watch is gold and silver which I matched to my necklace that is also silver with gold around the crystal center. As for earrings I chose gold earrings with crystal jewels that complimented the necklace and watch perfectly. The nude flats were used to make my legs look longer since the skirt is a bit longer than I typically wear and I am on the shorter side so faking long legs is a plus.
- Oversized Sunglasses: purchased in Belize while on my cruise These are fun options
- Ruffle shirt: Express (super old) Love this sleeveless option
- Floral print skirt: Talbot's High- rise option for Asos
- Nude Flats: Target Click here to check them out
- Necklace: Brighton (no longer available) Digging this alternative even more
- Boyfriend two toned Watch: Fossil Love this watch
- Earrings: I got these as a gift so I am not sure where they came from
If I wanted to change this up I would use: black heels, white crisp collared button up, blazer, or a green ruffle top.
I would stay away from any form of blue, because it would clash with the black background and pink and green floral print.
Feedback and questions are welcomed and greatly appreciated. I can only grow with the continued constructive criticism from others.
